ME ?? ON TV ??

Training for the camera at TARGET Fitness

I am SUPER excited today because Vancouver's CTV Channel 9, did a great 2 minute clip of me in the 6pm and 11 pm News last nite ....It ran in Perry's sportscast with my 551 Bench Press clip and some very fine compliments from Perry, Pamela and Bill Good, after it ran.

It was a small step for the bench Press

and a Giant leap for fatso kind !

A large 21 meg file all rights CTV Sports

The clip shows my voice work and some shots of me replicating my parts in the animated series POWER FORCE...

The story was written and voiced by Kathy Kovacs...she crafted a fine story, for which I am eternally grateful !

Today, I lift LIGHT weights FAST

(my ego is hard to carry around today )

Heavy work happens on the weekend !

awesome interview I think the announcers were more taken with your voice than your bench I guess thats how they make their living so that makes sense. makes you look like a well rounded person lol

Thanks Tony !
well rounded--geez --sitting, I look like champagne glass full o' fat !
I actually Plugged WABDL AWPC and IPF in the recorded stuff but it got melted down to more of a personality piece --of course I'm very happy about it !!
But I did do more Powerlifting related content that they didn't have room for ..oh and the 2 and half times HIS bodyweight..we fixed that with 4 times his bodyweight ..but it got LOST in the editing...still, super great exposure for the bench !

Yo Bonnie (zaitsoff) I always mention Bruce and Nancy's help --you are right that their assistance on heavy days..is what got me to 551..BUT as mentioned, CTV Sports had only a certain amount of time to craft this piece and the segs from the original shoot they chose, worked best in their time frame..now go back to my main site--my blog here--and count how many times I mention my friends !
or, were you being "sarcasMic"?

Living in a smaller town where having a pulse is news worthy I used our local news to try and generate interest in our sport by reporting on the meets that I go to. This is a great time to give thanks to everyone who supports me and yet the editors always seem to make the story sound like you did it on your own by omitting everyone that I mention. I find this frustrating, because while the accomplishment is great and imo a some what selfish act the true story is that of the support team that has had to put up with all my crap for months to get me there. Short of putting a add in the paper there seems to be no way getting recognition for these people, and getting out as Paul Harvey would say " the rest of the story"
Sorry about the rant it's just something thats bothered me for years

After posting this I reread it and realized that if I were reading an artical about a sprinter I would want to know how fast the sprinter ran not mom had to get up at 4:00 am to get the sprinter to the track for training before school
oh well if I do well this year may be I should try and get intrest in a artical about what it took to get here, rather than this is the sport of powerlifting isn't it great.
again sorry about the rambling

TONY !!!
The Rambling is GOOD!!!
thank you!
And, it lends substance to Zaitsoff's observation !
But space in a newspaper and air time on TV is limited, so they end up cutting, like you said ..."MOM up at 4 am"
